Warehouse Workers: What Makes a Good One?
If you were to order up the ideal warehouse worker, what qualities would you request?
- The ability to handle working environments that can get hot or cold, as well as working outside
- Knowledge of and familiarity with paperwork associated with orders and inventory
- Knowledge of and familiarity with certain power equipment that you use in your warehouse
- Knowledge of and familiarity with any warehouse management system(s) you use
- License or certification for machinery you use, including forklifts
- Experience and skill in counting and cross-checking orders and shipments
- Experience and skill in picking and staging customer orders
- Experience and skill in loading and unloading delivery trucks
- Trained in first aid and safety procedures
- Focus on customer service and problem-solving
