Reliance Staffing Services, Hampton Roads’ leading provider of temporary staffing solutions, today announced the completion of its acquisition of local recruiting firm DRA Recruiting & Staffing Solutions (formerly Don Richard Associates) for undisclosed terms. This acquisition gives Reliance a depth of expertise in top-level and executive recruiting to match its proven strength in industrial and clerical staffing, and will give companies in Hampton Roads one place to source all of their hiring and personnel needs.
To reflect this comprehensive capability, Reliance has changed its name from Reliance Staffing Services to Reliance Staffing & Recruiting.

This acquisition comes at an already exciting time for Reliance: the company will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its founding next year. The former DRA would have marked its 30th anniversary in November, so the level of experience and knowledge among employees of both companies is highly compatible.
The acquisition reflects the compatibility of the companies’ missions and values as well. “Both organizations are committed to developing their internal staff, providing quality service to their clients and giving back to the community,” said Ed Greene, former president and CEO of DRA.
Reliance is now a truly full-service hiring and Human Resources firm, offering placement for all levels of employment. Companies throughout the area can call on Reliance to provide:

Beginning today, Reliance will execute the integration of the two companies’ clients and associates to ensure a smooth transition that will deliver immediate value for clients, partners, associates and the Hampton Roads community.
Client integration:
A team consisting of employees of Reliance and the former DRA will use Reliance’s technological advantages to transfer client relationships as applicable. In most cases, the day-to-day account and service contacts for former DRA clients will not change.
Employee integration:
Reliance will move their Chesapeake office to the Greenbrier Circle location of DRA’s former office in the next few weeks, while on the Peninsula, DRA will operate out of Reliance’s Newport News office.
